The presidential hopeful implored the people of Bunyoro to reconnect with that spirit of resistance which lived in their grand fathers and mothers.
Wine says he was elated to see most of the people of Bunyoro idolize Kabalega, the great King of Bunyoro who resisted colonial rule, even to the point of death.

Like most Ugandans, Bobi Wine said, the people of Bunyoro are facing a lot of challenges ranging from massive land evictions, unemployment, oppressive taxes, a broken healthcare and education system, etc.
He added: I see the yearning most of you have to change the status quo and build a new Uganda based on social justice and equal opportunity.

President Yoweri Museveni will be in Hoima to campaign for the NRM candidate on September 24. The Hoima woman MP seat fell vacant after Tophace Kaahwa Byagira, the former legislator opted to represent the newly created Kikuube district that was carved out of Hoima and became operational on July 1, 2018.
