The ministry of Health has announced that during the just concluded Yellow Fever Vaccination exercise in Masaka, which was the worst hit by the outbreak, over 96 percent vaccination was reached.
This is far away from the 80 percent recommended by the World Health Organization for prevention of transmission of infection in a region with the Yellow Fever outbreak.

Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed that three people out of seven that where earlier reported to been in contact with disease have died while the four remain under medical attention. No new cases have been reported.
Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, the Director General of Health Services says the National Taskforce Survillance Team continues to pitch camp in the affected and neighboring districts to carryout surveillance and epidemiological assessment to inform further action.
