Presidential candidate Maureen Kyalya Walube will not pull out of the presidential race as earlier reported by some media houses. Impeccable sources have it that the vocal Busoga Princess joined politics with an agenda of elevating the rather backward region of Busoga.

Insiders have it that Kyalya who came in as a spoiler for the Busoga vote was allegedly paid one million US dollars not to campaign anymore particularly in Busoga sub region. She was also promised a ministerial post by one of the same presidential candidate. We bet that can’t be Prof. Baryamureba or Abed Bwanika.

Reliable information has it that Walube was paid through an agent. On top of the One million US dollars, Kyalya was also given a free air ticket to London where she currently enjoying life to the fullest.

In a meeting which was allegedly chaired by a Busoga elder at NOMMO gallery in Kampala, Walube’s aide was told that his boss will be appointed the first Busoga minister in a new ministry that will be created if the said presidential candidate wins the forthcoming elections.

In what could be seen as a give and take, Kyalya asked his ‘bosses’ to let her appear on the ballot paper, which was granted. However, she was told not to campaign anymore. She is currently enjoying life in London shopping malls. She is expected in Uganda before 10th January 2016.

Kyalya is really a strategic Ugandan. A few years ago she left Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to work as Presidential advisor and coordinator for the National Poverty Alleviation Programme in Busoga region.
