Another COVID 19 death registered at Hospital Naguru; Uganda’s death toll rise to 12

The in a statement on Friday said the deceased was a 65-year-old Ugandan male, resident of Kampala Metropolitan Area who was admitted in Nsambya Hospital.
He was later transferred to China-Uganda Friendship Hospital, Naguru after developing signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19.



“However, he later passed on while on admission at Naguru Hospital. Results from the laboratories confirmed COVID-19.”
Results from COVID-19 tests done on 13 August, 2020 confirm 32 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans is now 1,385.

Of the new confirmed cases; seventeen are alerts, six are truck drivers, six are contacts to previously confirmed cases and three are returnees.
Regarding the seventeen alerts;- ten are from Kampala Metropolitan Area, two are from Luwero, two are from Mbale, while three are from Kagadi, Mbale and Hoima
