The Uganda theatre Factory is currently operating in corridors and verandas following dismissal from the National theatre over huge rent debt.
It is understood that the National Theatre management demands a sum of Ugx. 8.5 million from Theatre factory group and this propelled the closure of theatre Factory offices last week.

Newz Post has learnt that Theatre Factory Director at one Philip Luswaata had reached an agreement with National Theatre Director Peter Francis Ojede to pay the debt in instalments a move that Ojede violated.
Pundits have seen this as move for by the theatre to flash artists out of the theatre despite the fact that the Theatre Factory has been the meeting point for those involved in art.
However, the chit chat has it that Philp Luswaata is paying for his sins for the fact that he has been at the forefront in questioning the ailing management of The National Theatre.
Efforts to reach Theatre Factories’ Jack Sserunkuuma and Philip Luswaata for a comment went fruit-less, but we shall keep you posted.
Apparently the Theatre factor office is sealed with 6’’ nails bearing contacts of the legendary dancer and artist Julius Lugaya who is reportedly operating in the corridors and pavements of the National Theatre
