Museveni calls on Kyambogo University graduates to reinvent themselves if they are to remain relevant

President Yoweri Museveni has called on graduates from Kyambogo University to be men and women of intelligent character
The president made the remarks while officiating at the 16th graduation ceremony at Kyambogo University. He congratulate on the graduates to reinvent themselves in order to remain relevant, focusing on the needs of the people.

Over 8,000 students graduated with degrees, diplomas and PhD’s in different fields. The head of state urged the graduates to utilize the Job creating sectors because public service does have capacity to employ all Ugandans.
‘‘I urge you as well to join and be part of the development journey of this country’’ he said.

This is also the first time that Kyambogo is producing Ph.D. holders (a one Bamuwamye Michael and Gafuma Samuel who have obtained PhDs in Food Technology). Mr. Museveni said is a sign that the young University is attaining maturity.
‘’They are beginning to wake up from sleep’’

This University has grown its programs in line with the government’s strategy of supplying human capital to transform the country by playing a leading role in providing teacher education at all grades in the whole country
The president praised the parents for making a wise investment in the education of their children.
