Mariam Kirumira, the wife to embattled former Buyende District Police Commander Muhammad Kirumira on Tuesday gave birth to a baby boy at Rubaga Hospital
Guess what, the first people to visit Mrs Kirumira at the hospital, was among others comical KCCA Councillor Muhammad Ssegirinya, one of the political activists that came out recently to support the family in the absence of its bread winner.

Mrs Kirumira gave birth at 3:00PM on Tuesday at Rubaga Hospital and according to a close relative, both the mother and the baby are in good health.
The new-born was reportedly named Kaweesi as DPC Kirumira instructed his father while he visited him in detention at the start of the month.

Kirumira and the fallen Andrew Felix Kaweesi are said to have been close friends.
The news comes at a time when Kirumira is still battling charges of extortion, unlawful exercise of authority and corruption. He allegedly committed the offences when he was in-charge of Nansana Police Station in Wakiso District and Old Kampala as division police commander in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
