Geoffrey Massa retires from national team

Uganda Cranes captain Geoffrey Massa, 31 years old, has retired from the national team duty after a career spanning 12 years.
Last year, Uganda Cranes fans put pressure on Massa to set down down saying his form is so low and he deserves to leave the young generations to take over .

‘‘It is with immense pride that I announce my retirement from the national football team after representing the country for 12 years. I have decided to retire from the national team after consulting with my family and I believe it’s the right time to start new chapter’’ The striker noted in an exclusive interview with New Vision.





The former Police, EL Masry, El Shams, Jomo Comsos, Amatuks, Yenicaami, Bloemfontein Celtic and Baroka FC striker is said to be in talks with some Clubs in Europe and Middle East.
For the 12 years he played for the National team, Massa scored 30 in the over 80 games he played.
One of his beautiful goals is the opener in a 2-0 win against Botswana on June 13, 2016. That goal set the tone as Uganda broke a 39 jinx to qualify for the 2017 Nations Cup in Gabon.
