The ministry of health confirmed one new case of COVID-19 on Tuesday night. According to the ministry of health, the new case is a 27 year old truck driver who arrived from Kenya via Busia.
The new case rises the total confirmed cases in Uganda to 98 with 55 recoveries.
A total of 2,632 samples were tested on Tuesday, and of these, all the 464 community samples tested negative.
Kenya COVID-cases rise to 536
Meanwhile, forty five more people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Kenya, the Health ministry announced on Tuesday, the highest number of positive test results in a single day since Covid-19 was first reported in the country.
Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe told the daily briefing that 29 of the new cases were in Nairobi, 11 in Mombasa and five in Wajir.
