Isuzu Bus registration number UAJ 880R was on Tuesday morning involved in a fatal accident in Keyo trading centre along Gulu-Juba highway injuring several passengers.
The bus overturned at about 5:30am, some 13 Kilometers North West of Gulu Town.
The speeding bus that was heading to South Sudan from Kampala veered off the main road after knocking dead a motorcyclist identified as Michael Okello Orom. The late was riding motorcycle registration number UEC 658A.
Eyewitness say the bus driver lost control after he knocked the motorcyclist. The bus overturned injuring several passengers. The injured were rushed to St Mary’s Hospital Lacor for treatment.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson, says Police in Amuru district have startedt investigations into the cause of the accident.
