The Executive Director, Winnie Byanyima, Oxfam International, has been awarded the Global Women’s Leadership Award in Switzerland.
The award is recognition for her efforts to advance women rights across the globe.

Over 1,000 women [in business and government worldwide] from 70 nation’s gathered in the artistic and business hub of Switzerland to share solutions on what works to advance women’s economic progress worldwide.
The Global Summit of Women was conceived as the nexus at which all sectors – public, private and nonprofit – would come together under the common vision of dramatically expanding women’s economic opportunities globally through exchanges of working solutions and creative strategies forged by women leaders in different parts of the world.
