On the 6th of July 2019, both FUFA and National Team Head coach of the Uganda Cranes Mr. Desabre Sebastien Serge Louis mutually agreed to terminate the contract between the two parties.- reads a statement from Football governing body.
‘‘The reasons for termination of the employment contract are for the benefit and growth of both parties. FUFA recognizes the contribution by Mr. Desabre for the improvement of the sporting and professional organisation of the Uganda Cranes inclusive of qualification to the AFCON 2019 Finals and also to the Round of 16.’’
However, Aldrine Nsubuga says FUFA is hiding the truth
‘‘The moment you see those words ‘mutual consent’ you know it wasn’t. It’s the language used in professional football purely for Public relations purposes.” the StarTimes Marketing Director noted.
‘‘Mutual. Consent? Only a fool will believe that. You think we have moved a step.in the right direction but then, as always, we conspire to kill our own progress. Ugandan football loses another good man in the name of Greed. This is always the problem. ‘’ he said
‘ ‘Whatever Desabre has done, we saw on the pitch. Did we see everything that the players did? Yes we did including the strike and the reasons were put in broad day light. There was nothing hidden’’.
‘ ‘that leaves FUFA – do we know everything that FUFA did behind the scenes? No we don’t. They are the only ones between the three parties whose actions and deeds were never fully known to the public.’’
Before joining Uganda Cranes, Desabre was in-charge of Egyptian Premier league side Ismaili FC. He signed a two-year deal in December 2017 taking over Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic who stepped down over unpaid salary arrears
Egyptian club giant Al Ahly SC is reportedly interested in the services Desabre. He will be credited for turning the Cranes an attractive outfit that did not spare continent’s African giants like Egypt, Senegal, DRC and the like. despite
Uganda football needs investigate issues with its governance. It is costing us talent & skill. From Coaches that can't last to players with mistrust in FUFA.
It can't be "mutually agreed to go", "we have now paid extra $6000".
We tired of such text, deal with the root cause.
