The music doctor and Uganda’s leading music star Dr. Jose Chamelone performed to a packed venue in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo at the Amani Festival over the weekend.

The Amani Festival is a three day’s event of singing, dancing, celebrating and meeting new people, discovering other cultures.
Singer arrived in Congo on Saturday in company of his brother and fellow singer Pallaso and Rwandese star Pius Deejay; they performed at the event’s climax on Sunday.

“I cannot express the love I have for my people who have loved and supported me through the tides. Thanks Amani Festival for bridging me with my Congo family! Pallaso, Deejay Pius, I love you brothers and we must make the music gospel heard,” he posted.

Chameleon got the Congolese crowd screaming and dancing to his songs in spite of the language barrier. “Chameleone has been a darling to us all these years. Congolese people love him to the bone and it was solely our intention to give them their best artistes,” the event organizer said while at the presser.
