The 26-year-old midfielder was part of the Uganda team that reached the round of 16 of the 2019 AFCON, starting all four games.

Lwanga has played for three local clubs: Express FC, SCV Kampala and more recently Vipers SC.
The 25-year-old caught the eye of the newly-promoted side during his displays in the 2019 AFCON when he made two appearances against Zimbabwe and Egypt.

According to kingfut, Tanta returned to Egypt’s top tier after finishing on top of their group in the Egyptian second division. They were relegated last season after finishing second to last along with Al Nasr and Al Raja.
