Special Presidential Assistant in charge of Research and information and Harvard Graduate, Morrison Rwakakamba has resigned his position. He was first appointed in July 2013.His contract was later extended for another 24 months.
In an April 18th letter to President Museveni, the Makerere University graduate of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies, said he had made the decision to “rejoin non-State sector and focus on Agricultural production, public policy inquiry and international public interest consulting.”
‘ ‘ With thankfulness, I am handling in my resignation henceforth as Special Presidential Assistant- Research and Information and Secondment assignment at Government Citizen Interaction Centre- It was an honor’’ Rwakakamba noted in letter copied to relevant government bodies including Auditor General.
Rwakakamba served as Twaweza -Uganda Chief Executive Officer, before starting, The Agency for Transformation (AfT), think tank and research institution in Kampala that partners with reputable global research firms.
