Pizza Hut partners with Shell, to roll out

After the successful launch of their first store in Uganda, American restaurant chain –Pizza Hut is ready to roll out to serve the ever growing demand for fast foods in the country.

Market reports indicate, the Bugolobi store is already performing well as more Ugandans dash to the site to taste true Pizza.

As a strategy, Pizza Hut is in advanced stages of opening up more outlets, particular on leading Petrol stations.

Newz Post understands the fast food giant has already partnered with Shell Uganda to open up outlets on her petrol stations. The first outlet will be set up the Shell Kireka Petrol station next to FINCA Uganda.

The Petrol station is currently closed as management undertakes major renovations.

Upon completion, the station will house KFC and on the other, and Pizza Hut on the other.

A couple of globally respected fast food firms have the Ugandan market-including KFC, JAVA’s, Domino’s and Now Pizza Hut. Market reports indicate, these firms are already making a killing, especially those whose outlets are strategically located.

Market intelligence reports indicate KFC Bukoto is the best of all KFC outlets in East and Central Africa. The outlet serves about 1,000 customers daily.

The outlet was meant to be a drive-through. However, customers have turned it into a restaurant.

The outlet success is partly attributed to its strategic location. The Bukoto-Ntinda Stretch is a home of Uganda’s middle class.

Unlike Bugolobi which is closed at the end by Lake Victoria, Bukuto stretch connects Ntinda, Kisasi, Kyambogo, Naalya, Namugongo, Kiira and the surrounding areas believed to be the home of Uganda’s middle class.

Parents who pick children from middle and high end schools in the evening find themselves having to pass by KFC Bukoto to pick a bit for their children.

Why the industry is growing too fast

The World Bank reports reveal middle class in Uganda is growing. With a tight work schedule and the money to spend, they find themselves having to eat takeaways.

By 6:30 am they are dropping kids to school. Thereafter they head to work. They leave their desks after 7:00 p: m to head for business meetings and networking, which normally ends after 9:00 P.m. As they head home, they simply buy fast food for supper.

Technology has also made life much easier. You can now order your favorite dish from your preferred restaurant by the click of a button.
