First son and Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations Lieutenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has warned Ugandans trying to introduce tribalism Uganda’s politics and social life.
‘‘All those who try to introduce tribalism into our politics and social life are fighting an insurmountable mountain’’ he said on Tuesday
He explained that ‘‘our great grandfathers… Omukama Kabalega and Kabaka Mwanga II and our fathers like General Yoweri Museveni integrated us beyond reversal.’’
‘’Uganda ni Moja!!’’ he concluded
The warning comes after police on Monday morning arrested yet another person in connection with spreading sectarian messages in the media.
The Police Crime Intelligence officers in the morning hours raided the Ntinda-based Baba TV station, where they picked up senior journalist Basajja Mivule.
Police spokesman Fred Enanga later said Mivule was arrested for “recording and spreading videos which promote sectarianism.”
In one of the videos he posted on Facebook just hours before his arrest, Mivule said he hated “these people” because they were doing the same things that dictators former presidents Idi Amin [RIP] and Milton Obote [RIP] were doing.
In another video, he said government should come out and comment on the concerns about nepotism that are emerging among Ugandans.
Basajja Mivule’s arrest comes just three days after Police arrested four employees of Radio Simba in Kampala over what authorities described as ‘’ sectarian’’ talk
Tribalism is only promoted by those practicing politics of identity which is based on religion, tribe & where you come from yet our Country is headed by a leader practicing politics of INTEREST which is all about developing the different sectors, regions of Uganda as whole .

U can’t completely deny there has been tribalism in the higher stakes of government, what is so important is that these pipo are qualified to do what they do and they wd still get the jobs done on Merit. U make it very true when u persecute those that talk abt it.
