Former Buganda Kingdom ministers and Members of parliament Hon. Mathias Mpuuga and Betty Nambooze Bakireke recently met singer Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine at Levanda Hotel in Lugala to discuss the shortfalls that saw Mengo officials demolish part of Ghetto President’s One Love Beach in Busabala.
Hon. Mpuuga and Betty Nambooze who happen to be Mengo loyalists met Bobi Wine shortly after the Kabaka’s birthday ceremony in Buloba and asked Bobi Wine to cease fire, promising to meet the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi and Buganda’s Premier Charles Peter Mayiga to harmonize the matter.

Hon. Nambooze noted that the Busabala issue is such a small matter that can easily taint the image of the Kingdom if not resolved early.
Hon. Mpuuga added: arguing over just half an acre of land is such an embarrassment to the Baganda.
Bobi Wine criticized the demolition allegedly on Mengo orders, describing the move as an insincere act by officials of Buganda Kingdom.

In a statement issued on Tuesday last week, the Buganda Kingdom Minister of Information, Protocol and Kingdom Spokesman, Noah Kiyimba insisted that Bobi Wine had occupied the land illegally and thus he and family members should desist from putting the “good name of the Kingdom in disrepute.”
