The perimeter wall of Lohana Academy School, on Martin road collapsed in the wee hours on Sunday killing six people who are suspected to be street kids, and over 10 people are still buried in debris, Police Fire and Rescue Unit said.
Early this month, a weak wall next to Namirembe Guest House Coffee collapsed killing two people. A Weeks earlier, before, a similar incident occurred in Seguku on Entebbe Road where another perimeter wall collapsed killing seven people with five from the same family.

A perimeter wall at a seventh day Adventist church in Kireka zone D, Kira division in Wakiso district on 06 September 2014 at 11:30 collapsed and damaged a house belonging to Aciro Rose, killing her daughter instantly. The deceased who was identified as Namongi Stella was inside the house at the time of the accident and collapsed in the debris.
Heavy rain and poor construction have been blamed. At Namirembe Guest House, he explains, the gushing water from the hill lacked channels to divert to trenches thereby hitting the wall directly. The intensity of the heavy water weakened the surrounding soils leading to destruction of the wall.
For the Seguku incident, a shallow foundation and lack of retaining wall was to blame.
