A significant number of Members of parliament across the political divide on Thursday called on government to allow politicians carry out duties within their career alongside politics.
The MPs urged government to let Hon Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine continue with his music career just like other MPS in different professions.
Minister Jeje Odong on Thursday told parliament that the government has granted permission to Bobi Wine to carry on with his music concerts on conditions that he does not mix music and politics while performing.

Earlier this week, The Kyadondo East MP took to the floor of parliament to express his dissatisfaction with the way he was being stopped to do his job of close to 20 years with the latest being in Jinja where he was stopped from performing.

“You should stop focusing at Bobi Wine as an individual, otherwise as you block his concerts many people [ including promoters] get affected as a result.’’ The Speaker said.

Just recently, promoter, Sarah Nasuna, blacked out when she learnt that Bobi Wine was not allowed to perform at her event and yet she had put her house as collateral for the loan she got hoping to recoup from the show that never was
