The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will early this year host the first ever African Global Aeronautical Information Management conference.

Dubbed ” Global AIM KAMPALA 2017”, the two day conference will take place from 23rd to 25th May 2017 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The technical conference attracts an average of 200 delegates and brings with it industry lead players and exhibitors of the latest trends in aviation technology.

Hosting States traditionally use the platform to showcase their tourism potential to the world and Uganda will be no exception in this regard.

The International Federation of Aeronautical Information Management Association (IFAIMA) brings together Aeronautical information management (AIM) professionals and associations world over.

The CAA Uganda has just completed automation of the Aeronautical Information Management processes at Entebbe International Airport.

The development has enabled the automated management of: flight plans, notices to airmen (NOTAM) and electronic Aeronautical Information Publications (eAIPs).

The system has led to efficiency and timely provision of accurate aeronautical information, reduction in costs incurred by air operators in updating AlPs, reduction in human errors, and Ubiquitous Flight preparation.
