Age limit: Abiriga reduced to a punching bag at parliament

There was jubilation on social media after it came out that Arua Municipality MP also known as ‘Yellow’ MP Ibrahim Abiriga was reduced to a punching bag by Ayivu County MP Bernard Atiku.

Abiriga was only rescued by security officers at parliament and colleagues David Abala MP for Ngora North and Gaffa Mbwatekamwa- Kasambya.
The incident which happened at the entrance of parliament started when a heated debate between the two Honourables over their differences in West Nile and dragged into the now contentious age limit talk. They two later went physical

How it all started
Sources at parliament, MP Ayiyu was talking with colleague Hon David Abala (Ngora County ). outside parliament Abiriga yelled out at MP Abala, asking him to “stop talking with a stupid man.”

Abiriga was unhappy that Atiku had earlier claimed that he and Minister Evelyn Anite don’t come from West Nile. Hon Ayiyu warned Abiriga that he was going to beat him up.
“Come punch me if you can,” Abiriga said. That is when Atiku slammed into the Yellow MP hitting him repeatedly
