17 UPDF soldiers in Somalia court for selling arms to the enemy

The 17 Uganda People’s Defences Forces serving under African Union force (Amisom) in Somalia who were arrested in June for selling weapons to the enemy, today 2nd August 2016 appeared before Ugandan military court seating Somalia.

The officer are accused of selling military equipment, fuel and other army paraphernalia to enemy forces. Seven judges are hearing the case at the Amisom headquarters in Mogadishu, Halane base.

Uganda has over 22,000 soldiers in Somalia.
