Presidential hopeful Bobi Wine’s National Unity Party on Monday got a boost after four members of parliament officially unveiled as members.
They include Patrick Nsamba of Kassanda and John Baptist Nambese of Manjiya County who until today have been members of the ruling National Resistance Movement.
The others include Independents -Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake and Busujju County’s David Kalwanga.
In his speech, Nsamba urged all NRM members who are not comfortable with the way their party is run to quit “Many of you are uncomfortable with the system, take a decision. Take a decision to be part of Ugandans,” said Nsamba.
He added: Be part of this Movement, a movement that seeks to bring a transition in this country using peaceful means.
Several division mayors [including Makindye’s Ali Mulyanyama , Nakawa’s Ronald Balimwezo Nsubuga and Kawempe’s Dr. Emmanuel Serunjogi] and other contestants were also unveiled as party members
In his Speech, Bobi Wine revealed that more MPs are set to cross to NUP.
