Listing this as one of her achievements, Kadaga explained that the 2017 controversial bill enabled the party’s national Chairperson to continue leading the country beyond 75 years.
She faces stiff competition from youthful candidates Persis Namuganza and Deborah Kyazike Kinobe. The two focused recruiting more women and youth in the party.
‘‘I’m coming to energize the NRM party to ensure that it continues to grow ad gets stronger’’ said hon Namuganza who is also state minister for lands
On her part, Deborah Kinobe told delegates that if party ignores the youth, it will go with the elders
‘‘Let us think about the future of this country. If we do not include this other generation in this party, it will go with our elders. It will be unfortunate.’’
