Uganda Cranes Hassan Wasswa Mawanda joins Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad Jeddah

Uganda Cranes star Hassan Wasswa Mawanda on Monday left for Saudi Arabia to finalize a lucrative deal with one of the country’s top clubs -Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
The dread-locked Uganda Cranes vice-captain who has been without a club, after parting ways with Egyptian top tier outfit Tala’ea El Gaish Sports Club, , he will be playing for his 14th club in a space of 13 years.



At Entebbe Airport, he was seen off by his brother Hudson Pachoto and wife Ronah Bukirwa.
On the local scene, Mawanda played for three Uganda’s clubs; KCCA , Sports Club Villa and Vipers Sports Club.
He has also played for Ethiopia’s Saint George, South Africa’s F.C Cape Town, the Turkish trio of Karabükspor, Altay and Kayseri Erciyesspor

Mawanda also played in Vietnam with Đồng Nai, Al-Shorta (Iraq), Al-Nejmeh (Lebanon) and lately at Tala’ea El Gaish in Egypt.
