Police arrests notorious thief, recovers a POLICE BOND FORM at his home

Nansana Police operatives have arrested a 44 year old armed robber following a series of robberies around Lubiji Nansana.
The arrest was enforced on information from residents who alleged the suspect was in possession of a gun used in terrorising the area hence a GEF 19/2018 was opened up at Nansana.
Yesterday morning a team of operatives arrested the suspect identified as Zabron Bakerwa, and proceeded to his home in Ganda Nansana Division.



A search was conducted and relevant exhibits recovered which included a star pistol number B05278, counterfeits of different denominations a black toy gun and other breaking purportedly used in robbing and tormenting innocent people of the area.
Upon further interrogation, the suspect disclosed that he had been robbing, dispossessing stranded motorists and passersby around Nansana- Lubiji of their belongings.

According to him, he operates during wee hours of the night.
During the search at his home, investigating officers from Nansana Police made a shocking discovery when they recovered a police bond form in his possession.



The suspect together with his two accomplices were last year involved in a robbery, arrested, charged with aggravated robbery vide CRB 658/2017 however were released on police bond.
Bakerwa and his counterparts have been on the run after jumping bond.
The suspect is currently detained at Nansana Police Station for further investigations.
