It was a hard fought game as Kampala City Coucil Authority (KCCA) Football Club managed an away goal as they played African champions Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa. The match was played in Lucas Moripe stadium in Pretoria.

The goal by Striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma in 72 minute, gives Jennifer Musisi’s boys the confidence needed to knock out African champions when they meet again on 18th March at the Philip Omondi Stadium.

Speaking after the match, KCCA coach Mike Mutebi said: “Scoring an away goal will boost our confidence, but a big battle lies ahead in the return match as Sundowns are a very good side.”

KCCA looked helpless as the African Champions scored two goals in first five minutes of the first half. Dangerman, Masandawana drew the first blood with a powerful header in 2 minutes into the game.

Three minutes later, Brazilian Ricardo Nascimento doubled from a penalty awarded when Thapelo Morena was pushed by Ochaya in the forbidden area. The First half ended 2:0
